Crane has been a full time professional artist, maintaining a studio at Artspace in downtown Raleigh since 1987. She works in oil, pastel and watercolor. She has traveled and painted in “plein air” on location in France, Italy, Spain, and several areas of the US. She strives to capture a true sense of place and her emotional reaction to it. For the observer her work conveys a feeling of “being there.”
