INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Artspace Summer Arts Program! Artspace is happy to present
our 19th summer of offering intensive-yet-fun, project-oriented classes
for youths
(rising 3rd - 10th graders), College Prep
Classes for Rising 9th graders and up, and workshops for Adults
(age 16 and up). Artspace Summer Arts Program provides a unique opportunity
for students to work directly with professional artists and gain quality
experience through hands-on activities.
In this brochure you will discover some exciting *New
Classes* for YOUTHS (Rising 3rd-10th grade)
such as TIME FOR TEA with Tarrah Goforth, HIP
HANDBAGS with Anna Podris, and FUN WITH FELT with
Rachel Nicholson, along with old favorites such as SILKSATIONAL
SILK PAINTING with Emily Howard and HAND PAPERMAKING
with John Dancy-Jones. In addition, you will find two College Prep level
classes.
Artspace is proud to present Eileen Doktorksi as our
Summer Artist-In-Residence. For the month of July, Eileen will be welcoming
visitors to her studio, Artspace’s Gallery One. She will be creating
artwork for her Artspace exhibition that will open in conjunction with
the August 1st First Friday Gallery Walk.
Please note that we have two separate brochures – one advertising
our Youth
Classes and one specifically advertising our Adult
Classes. Be sure to peruse both – you are sure to find something
of interest for the whole family!
