CLAIRE MARIE BURDULIS, textile artist
Ever
wonder if you're living the life of an artist? Come talk with
Claire Marie Burdulis and find out how doodling in coloring books began
her career as an artist. Through slides and dialogue, you will learn about
how she started her journey as an artist from age seven! You will have
an opportunity to visit Claire’s exhibition at Artspace and learn more
about her current textile works.
Claire recently completed the Regional Emerging Artist Residency Program
at Artspace. The program provides a NC-based artist with free studio space
at Artspace for six months. At the close of the residency, the artist presents
an exhibition of his or her work in the Artspace lobby.
Claire grew up in Chicago where, at a young age, she began to pursue and
develop her artistic studies. She received her BFA in Fibers from the Kansas
City Art Institute in 2003. Her fiber art has been exhibited in Kansas City,
MO, and Chicago, IL. Recently, Claire has been featured in Surface Design
Journal and Metro Magazine .
